As your prostate continues to grow so also the symptoms arise.  You will notice
  • A weak urine flow,
  • A sudden urge to urinate,
  • Difficulty emptying your bladder,
  • Increased frequency of urination,
  • Dribbling after urination,
  • Pain during urination,
  • Getting up several times at night to urinate.

Don't ever ignore the symptoms because once they start, they often don't stop and might even get worse.

What causes prostate enlargement?
As men grow older, their hormone intelligence begins to get faulty but most importantly because of the various lifestyle habits they have had.  The end result is that their testosterone which is the male hormone becomes lower than normal and their oestrogen level which is the female hormone get higher; at the same time the prostate becomes more sensitive to testosterone metabolites like dihydrotestosterone.  This causes swelling of the prostate.
