The dreaded rectal exam
Here the examining physician insert his fingers into your anus to feel for the prostate gland.

Prostate Ultrasound Scan
This test is safe, painless and can be done in less than an hour. It helps your doctor identify possible prostate conditions before they become more serious or unmanageable.

Prostate ultrasound, also called transrectal ultrasound, provides images of a man's prostate gland and surrounding tissue. The exam typically requires insertion of an ultrasound probe into the rectum of the patient.
This test is used to examine your prostate for the presence of any abnormalities, cancer, or other prostate-related conditions.


Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) Test
This test  is done to see how much of a particular protein you have in your blood. High levels of PSA may mean that you have prostate cancer, could also signify Prostatitis (Prostate inflammation). Other causes of high PSA include BPH, Urinary Tract Infection and Old Age.
